Dualities

My final conference project for my Ideas of Photography class at Sarah Lawrence College, taught by renowned American photographer Joel Sternfeld.

Dualities gives natural spaces an opportunity to visually confront the urban environment. The composition of natural landscapes usually differs greatly from the man-made constructions of the city. But what are the similarities? How do the two separate locations change in tone based on their surrounding atmospheres? Urban spaces from the Bronx are juxtaposed with natural settings in rural Colorado to compare optical and tonal elements.
